Belinda R. Stokes
Belinda R. Stokes, M.R.E.'s objective is to serve the faith and secular communities with anointed preaching, teaching and dynamic speaking on a variety of topics in the form of sermons, lectures, bible studies, "wordshops," workshops, seminars, speeches, etc. She has an extreme love for God, His Word, His People and His Work and operates in a spirit of excellence. Though passionate and deliberate in her presentations, her sense of humor comes through tempered with a dose of reality. She has been teaching--adults and children--for over 20 years and has been preaching and speaking for more than 12 years.
Her teachings are fresh and original as she normally writes her own curriculum and teaching materials. She utilizes multiple teaching strategies, therefore, her teachings are interesting, highly interactive, thought-provoking, edifying and motivating. She has taught at churches, conferences, denominational venues, breakfasts, luncheons, institutional settings, meetings, etc.
Belinda Stoke’s God-ordained sermons are informational, insightful and inspirational. She is experienced at doing sermon series, special day or regular worship service messages.
Belinda is a consummate Christian Education professional. She earned a Master of Christian Education from Trinity Theological Seminary. She is proficient at leading, organizing, administrating and departmentalizing church Christian education ministries. In her 7-year tenure as the Minister of Christian Education at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Hackensack, NJ, a 2,000-member church, she was responsible for the complete oversight of its Christian Education Ministry. In that capacity, she revamped its Christian Institute, increased VBS attendance, increased the membership’s daily bible reading, established a Teacher Training component, a Christian Education bulletin page, a book store ministry, an annual Christian Education calendar, budget and annual day. She also wrote curriculum, developed courses and made periodic reports to the Pastor and church body. Additionally, she taught at its various education venues--Christian Institute, VBS, Bible Study, Sunday School, Adult Bible Fellowships.
Known as the “Purpose Guru”, Belinda is also the President and Founder of “God Is” Ministries. Its mission is to teach believers who “God Is”, who they are in Christ, to help believers discover what God has deposited in them and their God-given purposes. It also serves as the publishing arm for her writings—tracts, curriculum, teaching materials and books. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University.
She retired in 2007 from a 36+ year career in the business and non-profit world which included entrepreneurial, management, sales and administrative positions. Belinda Stokes recently relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina with her daughter Chantelle. She is the Senior Pastor of Doers of the Word Christian Fellowship Church in Charlotte.
