Elyshia B. Carr's fields of expertise are Event Planning Management and Small Business, Church and Non-Profit Marketing. She has spent 15 years honing her skills in both fields with various companies and organizations. In 1990, Elyshia graduated from Albany State University with a Bachelor's in Marketing and went immediately to work for Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Kansas City as a Store Manager. After leaving Hallmark Cards, she returned to Georgia where she accepted a position as Director of Marketing for Koinonia Partners, Inc., the non-profit parent company of Habitat for Humanity.
In 2000, Elyshia moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and continued her career as a Marketing Specialist for Wachovia Bank in the Retail Credit Marketing Department. There, she handled the Prime Equity Line Marketing for more than a million customers. In 2005 Elyshia graduated from Strayer University with her Master’s in Marketing. Today, Elyshia runs her own company of 10 years, Kreative Planning & Marketing, Inc. where she serves clients as a consultant and strategist in event management, marketing and promotions for corporate events, seminars, conferences, trade shows, and much more. In addition to running her company, Elyshia is a doctoral candidate for Leadership/Organization. Look for her book in 2008, Lean Marketing Strategies.
Elyshia and her husband Mark are co-founders of the non-profit organization, Families Achieving Success Together (FAST). FAST is a non-profit organization that is geared towards assisting families towards success and helping them define what success looks like for them. It consists of programs for women, men and children to teach them how to live their lives to the fullest and also provide some basic living skills. Elyshia is also the founder of Kingdom Business Leaders Network (KBLN). This nonprofit organization is a network of kingdom business-minded people who are on the same page in terms of doing business the godly way and also a referral base for Christian businesses throughout the country.
