Dr. Sara Stevenson is an industrial/organizational psychologist who works as an independent organizational development consultant, trainer, and corporate coach through S. E. Stevenson and Associates, a consulting firm located in the Hickory, North Carolina area. A successful entity, the firm was established in 1982 in Forestville, MD. Its affiliate venture, CoachCodeBlue.Com was established in 2003.
She has over twenty years of experience as an organization effectiveness consultant, corporate and life coach, and trainer. In addition, she has had management and teaching roles in higher education and corporate experience, having worked as an internal organizational development consultant at Proctor & Gamble and Corning, Inc. She consults with a wide variety of organizations, including those in the public sector and various educational and religious institutions.
A partner in a dual career marriage, she is married to a corporate tax attorney and they are the parents of one son. In addition to her consulting practice and various adjunct faculty roles, Dr. Stevenson teams up with her husband, Rev. Donald W. Stevenson to conduct relationship seminars and workshops for both singles and married couples. They deliver their "Making Relationships Work…God’s Way" seminars through a North Carolina-based non-profit, the National Christian Family Resources Council (NCFRC). They are excited about the anticipated, Fall 2007, release of their book "Get a Clue! Why Relationships Don’t Work". In addition to all her other commitments, she supports her husband’s ministry as a member of the clerical staff at their church in Hickory NC.
Dr. Stevenson holds a PhD in organizational/social psychology, a MS in counseling psychology and BS degrees in psychology and biology. She describes her purpose driven role to be that of "Encourager", especially to those women who are of the "household of faith".
